The cost-effective variant uses ultrasonic technology. The system produces real sinusoidal ultrasound waves. Martens find this sound unpleasant and avoid the car. The pulsating sounds prevent a habituation effect and ensure that the system remains effective even after a long period of use. The protection is provided by means of a 360-degree dome speaker, that provides the car with all-round protection. Furthermore, the sound produced by this system imitates the warning cries of animals, which makes it an incredibly effective repellent.

The even more effective variant combines multi-contact high-voltage brushes with ultrasound waves. This combination of ultrasound and high-voltage technology provides optimum protection. As a result, even older or very aggressive martens that are not deterred by standard ultrasound devices can be effectively driven away. The electric shock surprises martens and provides effective protection. Since the electric shock creates a learned behaviour in martens, they will stay away from the vehicle in the long term.
